NPP Projection Open 3/18

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey everyone - please, please remember to put your initials down on the trailer list when you make a playlist. Desmond asked about Legend today to see if it's ready for tomorrow, which it is, but there was no mark. I'll send out a reminder in the weekly email this week. -L

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked the pre-show playlist for Friday the 13th Part IV this evening and all cues are in order

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: DCP'd the slide for Parasite and downloaded the Thriller preshow for it. This has been ingested. Playlist can get built.  - L

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Reached out with an urgent request to Deluxe to make sure we get the KDM for Parasite, which plays this Weds. We should receive the keys this evening. -L

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Heard back from a Sony rep about scheduling a pickup for Boyz n the Hood and it will be retrieved by courier sometime tonight or tomorrow

Print/video Inspection: Ran a private tech with a guest named Robert Gourley this morning in theater 1 for a couple of his documentary films and returned his CRU drive to him before he left

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Ran loops and checked in with the projectors in T1. Everything is set for this evening's print. -L

Will alerted me before first round in T3 that the 1.37 preset on the projector (and the masking) would not execute and instead, would switch to BluRay Flat Zoom and the masking wouldn't move. The other strange thing is that, when manually switching to the right lens file on the projector, the image was almost on the ceiling - really only half of it was on the screen. I went into the automation section and adjusted the settings for the 1.37 lens file (not 133) and adjusted the image, which is, for now, soft. It's mostly soft because (in addition to recentering) I zoomed in a bit. I did this to make it every so slightly more flush with the masking, but we had barely any time to make adjustments since the theatre was opening up (we started about 15 min late), but folks showed up as we were finishing up. The 1.37 masking cue was sharing its preset with 166 (I'm not actually sure if this would cause direct conflict). I actually wound up just giving the preset for 178 to the 137 masking cue (Alec, I'll fill you in later as to why I did this). But in any case, this should all definitely be checked out and adjusted tomorrow if at all possible. - L

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Need the credits offset for Parasite but I added most of the updated info. - L
