NPP Projection Report 3/9 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Relocated the 4/6 furniture dolly. Please bring these back to the booth when you're done with them. Also, the one for 3/7 is still missing, if anyone sees it.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I scheduled Love is the Message for 7pm so the 30-mintue preshow concludes and the intro begins at 7:30. There's a tight flip after and this will give more time for the Q&A, and it says the intro should be at 7:30 on the memo anyway. I gave John a heads up.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up and checked the cable connection for tomorrow night in both theaters and Trees. We're likely going to need to upgrade our subscription package to one which includes E! for the red carpet coverage. I let Matthew know we're not currently subscribed.

Jack, can you change the 35mm side of the marquee to "The Best Oscars Party" tomorrow?

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): I started a DCP of The Paperboy. Will need to check this pretty thoroughly since the file we were sent has all the audio channels broken up into separate tracks (as in you can only play one channel--left, right, center, etc.-- at a time if you're playing it on VLC. DCP-o-Matic lets you assign the proper channel to each track and I'm like 90% sure I got it right. I wrote John also to let the distro know this isn't the best screening file.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected Boyz N the Hood and started Legend. Both are very nice!

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
