Projection Admin 3/20



To do this evening/ was completed: Quick cinema meeting today! We're looking good on content. Please get your eyes on the Weekly email I've sent out this evening and reach out to Alec and I with any questions. 

Staff Screenings are out and are blocked on the calendar. 

Keys for Immaculate and Ghostbusters open up tomorrow, so we'll tech properly then. 

DCP'd all the songs for Jawbreaker with Miss Malice on 3/27. Ingested and took a look at the slides and songs with Desmond. Volume has been noted.

Special Events/ AV set up: John will need a mic in trees tonight for Trivia. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Downloaded and ingested the Ambulance trailer from Kat. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Keys for Eternal Sunshine come through tomorrow. 

We received Passenger 57 today. I brought this down to the T1 booth. Can get inspected. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Brought down Boyz n the Hood for Sony. This got picked up today. 

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes! Updated today. 

Maintenance/cleaning: DMS surprised us with a visit today. Jerry checked the audio in all the theaters and determined things were starting to separate in the T1 subwoofers, and noticed one of the surrounds in Theater 3 has a blown woofer. I reached out to Chris to place orders for replacements.


I also had him check the fire alarm wiring in Theater 1. He determined we need a new power cable for the relay board. Easy fix, I ordered it from Amazon. It should come tomorrow but I’ll need to cut the wire so I’ll take care of it on Friday.


Asked about the Theater 3 situation and he said Chris was still looking into it and that if we could do the tests which Christie asked for with the projector in the failed state it would help determine the next steps. And just like that it happened about an hour before the first preshow in Theater 3. I did everything Christie asked and took pictures and also recapped all the errors we’re getting on the TMS and shared it all with DMS. -- (Alec)


Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled out all the cue sheets for the next week ahead. Please add the OCAP info this evening, if possible. Godzilla not yet available for those three shows in T4 on 3/28.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
