Projection Open 4/25



To do this evening/ was completed: We're to receive a new downloadable link for Dogville. Not sure if it's coming in tonight, but keep an eye out for it! 

Took a seat out in T3 (3410). Chair is on the dolly from 4/6 resting in the landing area. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: KDM opened up this morn. Tech'd Challengers, which sounds looks and sounds great. 

Noticed the lamp and dowser were still on/open after the staff screening, so added cues to close and turn everything off before T2 opens tomorrow. 

Took a look at Civil War this morning (in reference to last night) and adjusted the playlists so that the house lights up cue hits two minutes after the original cue time, so there's five minutes instead of 7. I told MOD about the change and updated the cue sheets. Onscreen, it looks way more presentable this way. Updated the formula on the cue sheets and the rest of the times for this upcoming week. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Setup the PA speakers, mixer and AJA hdmi connection for Shouting at the Screen this evening. Tested everything. I've been charging the little presenter wand to advance the slideshow (also tested it this morning!) Remember to pop its usb in the laptop before turning it on - then it should automatically work. It doesn't connect like an actual bluetooth presenter.

Print/video Inspection: 

Received the print of Kuroneko. I put this in T1. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added the rest of the May titles plus all of June! 

Maintenance/cleaning: Spruced up the surfaces in 4/6. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. 

Marquee updated?: Added Challengers to the marquee this morning. 

Posters updated?: Swapped the "Coming Soon" with a "Now Showing" sign for Challengers.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
