NPP Projection Report 5/21 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: I put the original IMS back into the Theater 2 projector with the new OS disk in place. Switching these went fine, not content ultimately needed to be ingested because our original storage disks were placed in the loaner, so I just removed those and put them back into the original. Deluxe (eventually) sent us the right keys for the "new" serial number. Only slight glitch is that the TMS is showing the incorrect SPL names for Theater 2 on the schedule tab. Fear not, the correct playlist is scheduled. You can check on the IMS web UI. Also the playlist runtime on the TMS scheduler tab matches the playlist that is scheduled (i.e. it does not display the runtime of the playlist whose name appears). While I believe DMS was correct in getting this OS disk replacement for us, please keep an eye on this server, just in case. -Alec

T2 keys re-uploaded after old IMS was put back in Christie.

Presentation Issues: **T4 ceiling light issue from late March occurred during round one today. Killed all of the relevant breakers to no avail. Reset the light panel and that also did nothing. Eventually the lights turned off by themselves, with the occasional half-second flicker coming from the back left light closest to the booth (from the perspective of the booth). Ran through the lighting cues after the show and they all functioned normally.

Special Events/ AV set up: I showed the new wireless mic to PA setup to Jack and McKegg and they practiced setting it up.

Rossen from Queen's Cartoonists (an animation festival) came to check out the space in Theater 1 for a live band setup. He was happy with the space and I went over what equipment we have in-house and what the band would need to provide. I think we covered everything but I told him to email me with any further questions. -Alec

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Cue sheets for next week are filled out apart from some event timing. Made formulas for Furiosa and Hit Man since they hadn't been made for last week's cue sheets and added them into Thursday, 5/23's sheets. - McKegg

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
