Projection Close 5/18



To do this evening/ was completed: Alec and Matthew will have seen my email in our thread with DMS, but just so everyone knows here - the T6 server went down again tonight, just once, about 30 min into the feature during the penultimate show in there. I had enough time to reboot the projector and get everything back up and running again without delaying preshow, but still, it's a bummer of a mystery. We'll make sure to solve this soon. Please do let me/Alec know if this happens again tomorrow. Keep your eye on T6 and we'll inform you guys with any info we get from DMS. Thanks! 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Just as a reminder - for playlists, we've switched some of the ordering, so the 'how to order' will go under the B forecast instead of the A forecast so more people see it, and the 'tip' comes later. I adjusted a couple playlists for this. 

Built the rest of the A1 playlists for 5/24. 

Built the playlists for SE shows that have all available content. Kill Bill Double Feature event is ready! 

Trailer Updates: Built 5/24 trailer packs for the other R features. 

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Reached out to Kat for the George Miller preshow bit we need. Checked to make sure this wasn't on the Google drive already or in the preshows/trailers drive. 

Downloaded and ingested the Villain Edit trailer. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Went through content to delete anything we don't need. 

Carrie CRU drive, among others, can get sent back. We'll keep the Spiderman Deluxe drive until the shows are over. 

Print/video Inspection:

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
