Projection Admin 7/11 (Lillian and Alec) This didn't post yesterday.

To do this evening/ was completed: Lillian here. Just now realizing I did the Longlegs/Fly Me to the Moon addition to the marquee and posters one day early. Getting ahead of myself with the days...I'm going to leave it. We're close enough to the date. Sorry about that, though. If you received an email about scheduling (plans for making everyone's vacation plans work) from Alec today, please take a look! Thanks! 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd the preshow and feature for Longlegs and Fly Me to the Moon. Longlegs should definitely be loud enough, but we can bump it up depending on the crowds. Fly Me to the Moon needed to come up, I brought it to 6.0 and adjusted the playlists. - L

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Spoons all set for tonight. Alec and I tested everything: laptop, mics, and spotlight board! You're all good to go, just remember to turn on the power strip and each individual power button on the receiver (front facing side). - L

Ingested the new DCP for Dr. Black (Shouting at the screen). We're teching this tomorrow. - L

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the print of Trouble in Paradise. Brought to T1. - L

Just another note here (I forwarded the email to projection) but the KDM for People Under the Stairs comes in 7/14, day before we screen, which is a little late but doable. Just putting a reminder here. - L

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Ran the last reel of SOF print so we could get credits. Info has been updated and added. Print looks so good! - L

Inspected reel one of Trouble in Paradise. It's in great condition. -AL

Wound all of Thief heads out. -AL

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added all August titles to Sept 1st. - L

Maintenance/cleaning: I checked the output levels for both T1 35mm projectors, using a few trailers in various sound formars: mono, Dolby A, and SRD. After messing with it a bit and playing each trailer multiple times, they sound even to me. Be aware though, we might need to adjust the volume slightly for prints we've already teched (Cheap Killers, Set It Off). The volume we have written down should definitely be in the ballpark, just may need a slight adjustment. -AL

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Added and updated info for SOF, Set It Off, Shouting at the Screen - L

Marquee updated?: Added titles for Longlegs and Fly Me to the Moon  - L

Posters updated?: Put up Longlegs and Fly Me to the Moon outside.  - L

Took down Longlegs and Fly Me to the Moon in the lobby for coming soon, put up Harold and the Purple Crayon for the kiddos (a group of very cute kids and their parents walked right in while I was finishing it up and they're very excited, so that was good timing!) also added Trap on the other side. - L

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
