Projection Admin 8/30



To do this evening/ was completed: Well, folks, the verdict is just about in-- bad allergic reaction to Shiitake mushrooms, promoting extreme nausea and a slight, unpleasant rash that I did not notice until now. At least I'm not contagious? 

For tonight: please build the A1 playlists, and any SE that you can. Content update below. 
FYI - I believe the 6:15 show of Blink Twice will need a closed captioning device. Jared will call again about the seat number. 

Presentation Issues: Not an issue (just unfortunate) but you'll notice first round in T1 is red and that's because we turned it off due to lack of tickets. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd The Mummy and Where the Wild Things Are. Only adjusted the playlists a bit. 
Built the playlists for Pomp and Circumstance, One Eyed Jacks 
Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Donnie Darko was making the 4/6 computer lag, so I started downloading it to the T1 comp. The other DCP from AGFA, Jailhouse, is being coped over to the DCPIII drive in T1, so please ingest that once it's finished. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received Poltergeist 3. Brought down to T1. 
Ingested Road House to the TMS. 

Received the new trailer list and content info from Kat for 9/06. Ingested the new forecasts, trailer and 5min September preshow for Misfit Alley. 

Re-ingesting the Anime & Reeks Like Teen Spirit preshow
Also currently ingesting the preshow Generic_Moms and Front Room 5min

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Cristina and I tech'd One Eyed Jacks and Funhouse in T1. 
We also took a look at Pomp and Circumstance & the shorts that go along with it. We'll do another run through with these, including the final playlist since we didn't have tons of time today before the theatre opened up. 

I only got through the second reel of One Eyed Jacks because there's so many splices and perf repairs, but it's not looking like anything we won't be able to project. We'll just need to be mindful of it. I will complete inspection tomorrow evening. 

Haven't changed out the felt pads on the projectors yet (I'd like to take a look on Monday instead, and run the gears then. T1 P1 projector pad looks alright, whereas P2 looks a bit rough. Wondering if one of them got changed/oil added whilst i was out?)  But I did change the pads on the Kelmar inspection tables and gave everything a very good clean. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: I noticed we were running low on 35mm print info cards in 4/6 and completely out in T1, so I printed out more and cut em up. 

Took the garbage out of 4/6.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Sat/Sun are good.  Please check again just in case! Thanks!

Marquee updated?: Added Afraid and took down Penguin Friend. Posters updated outside. Added Madam Satan to the 35mm side and took down Lady in the Water.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
