NPP Projection Report 10/5 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Grabbed the Almodovar drive from Williamsburg yesterday and brought it back here.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled the playlist for the Home Alone 2 private event tomorrow. I put in a lights up cue for the credits based on the blu-ray rip file, but did not look at the DCP on screen so it should be checked for volume tomorrow morning and also confirmation that the credit offset is correct.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Spoons setup went smoothly. When you're breaking this down, please always bring the mics back up to the booth to charge (they were left in the pouch on the rack mount case for the mic receivers after Wednesday's show), and leave the DMX cable & gender changer (for the spotlight board) under the curtain in the theater, it doesn't need to be in the booth.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Home Alone 2 to Theater 7 for tomorrow.

Uploaded the keys for My Bloody Valentine.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection:

Maintenance/cleaning: Replaced the battery in the T1 APC and plugged the projector back into the unit.

The power cord for the T1 spotlight control board got torn somehow, noticed this when I was setting up Spoons on Wednesday. Been using the cord from the T2 board. I ordered a replacement but when I tried it with the T2 board it did not work so I'm returning it. Ordered another one which should hopefully work, will try that when it arrives.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
