Projection Admin 10/11 Lillian (golly, what a day...)



To do this evening/ was completed: NewFest starts today. Lots of moving parts, but this evening should be a relative breeze. I've gone over things with Will this evening, but please see notes below. 

Presentation Issues: Something extremely bizarre happened this evening (because of course, on the first day of NewFest) in which the showtimes for Piece by Piece were apparently incredibly off with the offset info. Everything looked matched up on the TMS/cue sheet but the feature showed to only be an hour long...it took me a minute to see what was wrong, and whilst the playlists were correct on the TMS and were sent to each individual theater showing Piece by Piece, it turns out that when you look at the playlist in each IMS, its not correct. I have no idea why this happened, but I quickly edited the playlists in each IMS to match what we made in the TMS. I refreshed the schedule and it worked. This wasn't a massive interference, but I double checked everything for the weekend. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Made slight adjustments to the NewFest playlists tonight - I went over everything with Desmond for the run of show this evening in T3 and T4. 

We also took a look at the NewFest videos in Plex. Everything is good! Those will be for this upcoming week, starting Tues. 
Mic is up in Trees. 

Trailer Updates: 

Special Events/ AV set up: Setup all the mics in T4 for Hidden Flora tonight. There are four mics (one of which is in a stand, off to the side. they can rearrange as much as they'd like for their intro, but it looks great and the spots remote if on top of the mic stand.) Since we do not have a working PC in T4, we will be using the laptop to control both the show and the Spotify playlist. I am using my personal nitehawk account since we can't be on the main Nitehawk one all at once. I've gone over the setup with Will. Just Non Synch on the processor and 3.7 sound for preshow. 

1 mic and a stand is up in T3 for the intro, spots remote in its usual container behind the curtain, and Spotify is setup is in the booth, already up -again, my account. I'm leaving the login info taped to the 4/6 comp just in case. This has all been tested. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the DCPs for Smile 2. Ingested to the TMS. 

Received the new short of When the Lights Come Up (correct subs/no pixel issue). Ingested. 

Received the Betty Boop content, but Cristina reached out to the sender about 10 to 15 more minutes of content. 

Ingested the Looper for Dead Mail next week.

Maintenance/cleaning: As per my blog the other day, I made and added the DCP Scope 220 lens preset to the christie in T6 since we're showing Joker 2 in there this weekend. Along with this, I made and added the masking cue and automation cues in the IMS and made sure that this translated to the TMS. Ran through the playlist and everything is all set. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes....liberally...but please check these again this evening!! Thank you!

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
