Projection Open 10/6



To do this evening/ was completed: A bit of a chaotic morning here with double events during the first round and a slightly tight conclusion to one of them, but otherwise fine. 

Presentation Issues: A guest asked for a closed caption device in Theater 1 for Joker and once I brought it down, they asked if a person sitting at the tale next to them (who I assume were their parents), could have one too. I went to the closet to get the other one and even though it looked like it was plugged in, the battery was dead. I informed the guests and made sure the device was plugged into a charger that worked. 

Are we waiting on something, like a part for the clamps or new screws for the other two that are out of commission? Cause they appear to be working fine.

Special Events/ AV set up: My first Sundays on Fire went off fairly well despite a lot of elements complicating it. The trailers reel had no head, but per Lillian's advice, I threaded it to the image and just kicked it off immediately. The transition into the feature was smooth, but my first changeover was a little rough because the cue was not where I expected, but it was only a little bit of black. 

During the last reel, which of course is the shortest one, I got a ping from the manager about someone needing a seat removed in 3. I rushed down there and it was right as the lights were going down and thankfully by the time I got back up to 1 it was RIGHT at the final frame of the reel and the dismount went well. The audience was in the dark a bit for the credits, but they weren't that long to begin with. 

The birthday party in Theater 7 went well too. Was there to unpause the slide and roll right into the feature. 

Print is fully rewound on our house reels ready for re-inspection.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
