NPP Projection Close 11/12

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: The scope lens file in theater 2 was slightly off center and out of focus during the trailers before the feature in the second round. I was in communication with Alec about its settings and how much image would bleed over the curtains with the lens set to scope during the pre-show (it should be noted that the pre-show did not play in the scope file as Alec programmed, but instead started in the "FHD" setting). I chose to stay in the auditorium and switch between the flat and scope files as the show progressed, ultimately switching to scope once the trailers began (some of the pre-show content was cut off when played in scope, hence my reservation about letting too much of it pass without having it play in its normal flat format). Conclave played, a dark and shadowy film, which looks much better overall given the improved brightness of the lamp, despite the focus being a tad soft. Lillian was in the auditorium to watch the film and helped center the image as the trailers played. We refrained from adjusting focus too much once the feature started since any changes made would have been noticeable, so we focused just enough to keep the middle/center and region of the screen for subtitles as sharp as they could be. 

(update: following the screening we re-centered and properly focused the picture so that Heretic would look a little sharper in the final round -- scope settings have been saved and should hold for now)

Special Events/ AV set up: The Commandant's Shadow private event in theater 3 this evening went smoothly + Ninja Scroll in theater 1 played without issue

Found a random closed captioning device by the MOD office as I was in the process of removing a seat for a guest before the final round in theater 1 -- this has been brought back to the closet on the third floor to charge
