NPP Projection Admin 12/15

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Kept an ear on volume levels for Wicked this afternoon and brought it down from 7.0 to 6.0 during the first round OCAP show since the crowd was small

Made a very minor framing error on the third reel of Jumanji which was quickly adjusted (did not realize this was an open matte print until I noticed a boom mic at the top of the screen during a shot)

Second round show playlist in theater 2 was paused and needed playback started manually (not entirely sure why this issue is continuing with Screenwriter but it seems the IMS has a mind of its own)

Special Events/ AV set up: Jumanji screening in theater 4 went smoothly save for the aforementioned mishap (raised the volume on the 750 since the film sounded a little soft in the auditorium) + cleaned the projectors after the show

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Neon is doubling down on whatever Oz Perkins is selling and had a rep come out to put up a poster for The Monkey (in lieu of a weekly audit where they would have this person come check to see whether or not we put it up ourselves) in place of Nosferatu in the lobby

Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected Jumanji and packaged it for return shipping + contacted David Jennings about arranging for a courier to retrieve the print

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
