NPP Projection Report 12/10 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Ran loops for Julie Darling tonight. Note that the opening titles are printed very close to either the top or the bottom of the frame. Most should appear fine but be aware that some will be cut off.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Went out on a limb and built the Flow playlist with the latest All Ages generic preshow (V4). Kat is back tomorrow and can let us know if this needs to be swapped.

Scheduled next week's shows through Wednesday 12/18. Missing a few SE playlists: Love Actually (feature ingesting and need slide) and Turbulence (need special slide).

When scheduling, I held off on transferring a few things for next week until tomorrow or Friday. These are all queued and will start on their own at the specified time, just letting you all know.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Surprise fire alarm this morning delayed the school screening some 20 minutes but everything was fine after that.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Flow, Don't Look Back, Scrooged, and Love Actually to the TMS from the FilmVault server.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: We looked at Fisher King and Insomnia today. Volume levels noted for both. There was a poorly repaired break in the leader of reel 1 of Fisher King which threw me out of frame, fixed that and checked the other reels, none of which had this issue.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Built next week's cues, filled in through Wednesday the 18th. Just need the following credit offsets: Little Women, Scrooged, and Turbulence.

Posters updated?: We're not getting the Lord of the Rings anime movie so I took that poster down and put up Babygirl in its place.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
