NPP Projection Report 12/7 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: For the private event tomorrow morning, we are just having their first holding slide on screen with music in the background. I opened a playlist that should be fine on Spotify on the projection laptop and there's a headphone jack cable hanging in front of the T4 rack which is connected to the Non-Sync input on the processor.

For Monday they also want a playlist on for preshow but they specified what they want. This playlist is open on the T6 rack PC and the PC is connected to the Non-Sync input on the processor.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled playlists for both Moana school screenings next week.

Built and scheduled the Julie Darling preshow playlist, scheduled Fisher King preshow.

Scheduled Good Will Hunting and filled in credits times on Monday's cue sheet.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Bumped Birdcage up to 7.0

Spoons went well today, broke everything down and put it away after.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Transferred Night Flight to Theater 3. Did Screenwriter automatically attempt to send this to Theater 3 last night? The reason it failed was because the ingest had the network share folder as the source and the DCP has already been ingested to the TMS. Screenwriter deletes any CPL from the network share folder after ingesting it.

Started converting the second file for the Night Flight screening to DCP. It's going right onto the network share folder so it'll get ingested to the TMS automatically once it finishes.

Turbulence DCP finished, ingested it to the TMS.

Maintenance/cleaning: Organized the poster caddy, tossed a bunch of unnecessary posters and started a new archive tube.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
