To do this evening/ was completed: Busy, busy day...
So, we properly downloaded the new MFA link this morning, which I immediately starting DCPing once I got in, but it is still transcoding. We figured this would happen and that we would have to go on with the OG file that has the editing mistakes (turns out, the students exported their films incorrectly, which makes sense because a lot of them were the wrong aspect ratio and had other editing issues present, some of which are hard to detect unless the actual filmmaker sees them - the kids were on a time crunch), but I wanted to troubleshoot a bit more because it would really suck to go through with the wrong file, so I copied the new file (mov file) to the DCPIII drive, downloaded VLC to the PC in 3/7 since mov files have a hard time playing on Windows without it  (you basically can't play mov files without VLC, not even quicktime anymore, apparently). Anyway, I hooked the PC up to the projector with a hdmi connection, adjusted the settings and the film file is playing just fine. So we're going to go with this - new file, played off vlc. The host, Kara, I met around 3:15 and we went through everything together and she's happy with the outcome and I'm glad there won't be any mistakes on screen! I've left Will notes for this event in more detail. I've had Kara and Will meet so they're on the same page. Also, Kara was a projectionist for 20 years and still has booth nightmares. She is very nice! She did a few Tarantino runs...

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Mickey 17 playlist has been checked and the formula. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Spoons has been setup in T1 - wireless mics, mixer, aja/laptop have all been thoroughly tested. I setup three mic stands. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received Gladiator! That will take top priority once the special events are taken care of. We can finish it off tomorrow, too. 
print is in T1 and it is incredibly heavy. Be careful. 

Received the Iron Giant. 

Reached out about the keys for Flow. Received later today.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
