To do this evening/ was completed: Hi all, Screenwriter was installed today. Since we will begin going over this tomorrow in the meeting I won't go into too much detail but the basic operation at least for tonight should be pretty self-explanatory. There are a few fairly major quirks we still need to work out, but there are ways to get around them in the meantime. These are: -It's not connected to the Deluxe FilmVault (f/k/a EclairPlay), we will have to ingest features & trailers directly onto an IMS for now and then transfer it to the TMS. Chris from DMS is talking to AAM (producers of Screenwriter) and should hopefully have this worked out ASAP. -We tried to connect the KDM email to automatically load new keys as they're delivered but it's not working. Working on this with AAM, we'll have to ingest keys manually (like we're used to doing with the Dolby TMS) for now. -We also tried setting up a share folder which we can download preshow and feature DCPs to ...

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up:  Ovid, New York filmmakers dropped by this morning to tech the film in 3 and watched it in full. Made a few minor adjustments to the show playlist and tested mics/set up chairs for the Q&A this evening - WB Ran loops for the 1.85 lenses and plates in theater 1. Ran reel 1 of Ghost in the Shell 2  for Desmond this afternoon (volume has been noted/projectors cleaned/reel was rewound back to its start) -WB Set up two mics and two directors chairs in Theater 7 for the private event with intro/Q&A tonight. They confirmed later in the day they'll need two mics on stands for the intro and 3 mics and 3 chairs for the Q&A. I pulled out a 3rd mic and another stand and brought to 4/6 -AL Tech'd the Miss Malice pre-show with Desmond and Alec in theater 2 for The Matrix and adjusted volume levels for each performance as needed. To do this evening/ was completed: Chinatown went smoothly again. Re-inspected the print after the screening and packed it up. Came with return label so we'll schedule a pickup for it tonight or tomorrow. Matthew showed me how to remove the T2 unit of ADA seats in the back row. It's kind of a two-person effort and there are a few particular screws that need to be loosened somewhat. I have pictures that I can provide to everyone and we can update the manual if necessary. For some reason I was not able to load the Heretic playlist via TMS controls in T6. I kept getting a red error message, the specifics of which I forgot to write down. But something along the lines of playlist cannot be loaded at this time. Ended up starting the playlist through IMS but found that odd. To do this evening/ was completed: Attached photos of the ADA sled seats closest to the exit. I know Juan worked on these not that long ago since the wood underneath was starting to come up. My assumption is that he didn't realize they need to come out. I haven't had to take these out in a while but, yes, they should mostly pop out once you take the back screws off. We've taken them out just fine in the past. I took a look tonight though, and they're bolted in. I left the screws in the booth along with the driver. We should definitely develop a better mount situation for these. To do this evening/ was completed: Chinatown print went very smoothly. Ready for round two tomorrow. Ingested Ovid feature and preshow, transferred to T3. Got a call to remove all of the ADA seats in the last row of T2. Attempted to do so but the block of seats is held down by dozens of screws, many of which are inaccessible. If most of those screws can be permanently removed, and some of the metal bands that hold down the block can be removed as well then the unit can become ADA-viable. As it stands, it is near-impossible to remove those seats. MOD decided to just remove the seat on the end and ask guests to switch seats with each other.
