NPP Projection Admin 12/3 + 12/2 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Hi all, Screenwriter was installed today. Since we will begin going over this tomorrow in the meeting I won't go into too much detail but the basic operation at least for tonight should be pretty self-explanatory. There are a few fairly major quirks we still need to work out, but there are ways to get around them in the meantime. These are:
-It's not connected to the Deluxe FilmVault (f/k/a EclairPlay), we will have to ingest features & trailers directly onto an IMS for now and then transfer it to the TMS. Chris from DMS is talking to AAM (producers of Screenwriter) and should hopefully have this worked out ASAP.
-We tried to connect the KDM email to automatically load new keys as they're delivered but it's not working. Working on this with AAM, we'll have to ingest keys manually (like we're used to doing with the Dolby TMS) for now.
-We also tried setting up a share folder which we can download preshow and feature DCPs to which we will be able to ingest directly from to the TMS (without having to use a USB drive), but this also gave us problems. Chris is looking into it. There's a USB port on the new server we can use in the meantime. -AL

One more Screenwriter note: when building playlists on the TMS, you can only use content that's ingested on the TMS. So if you ingest something directly to one of the IMS, you won't be able to add it to a playlist on the TMS. -AL 

(Just echoing Alec a bit here - went over Screenwriter information with Will and McKegg today just to jumpstart knowledge of its functionality and give them a little bit of an introduction so there's no discomfort, despite the fact that you won't have to really interface with the new TMS for at least a few days, as Alec mentioned, whilst we work out the weeds. Network issues aside, I'm feeling pretty confident with this transition and I feel like it was a super helpful and productive day.) - LH

Last night's events went very smoothly. All equipment broken down afterward, mics used for T7 returned to 4/6.

TMS scheduled for the coming week, though might have to be re-scheduled if new TMS software is finished installing today.

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. Projection Close 8/26 Lillian

To do this evening/ was completed: I will be out tomorrow as I'm still recovering from a bad cold and need another day to rest. I will have notes via email tomorrow. I will also be joining the cinema meeting and will be remoting in from home. I reached out to Rebecca again and cc'd Lauren and Ian who will be here during the early hours tomorrow so that they know I'm out in case they walkie and can contact me via phone/email. If Jack is able to come in a little earlier, I'll let management know. I let management know about the iPad (per Jack's blog) which I'm running the updates on right now and had hoped would be done soon but they're still going so I let them know to use the Spotify app in the meantime if Soundtrack doesn't work, but it should.  The print of It's Alive  went down well (if you don't count the lad that threw up in the theatre and then right outside the door). NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Home Alone DCP ahead of the private event this morning, no issues. The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat will be making a DCP of Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow for the private event in T1 on Tuesday morning. Chenelle will get the blu-ray sent over here for us to have as backup. I set up the blu-ray player so it's connected to both the monitor and the projector, in case we end up needing to use the blu-ray. I sent Lillian and McKegg an email about this separately. I checked the scope blu-ray projector channel in Theater 1 and it's good to go should we need to screen the blu-ray. I started the DCP of Death Race 2000 on the T1 Mac.
