Projection Report 10/8 AM

Presentation Issues: None

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Started transferring Gemini Man preshow files and TLR_NPP_CARD_Oct_B from evo, should be ready to ingest this evening. All are transferring directly to the external drive.

Trailer Updates: As per Matthew's film schedule email, I pulled a couple Addams Family trailers off the trail mix from last week and swapped them into the all ages playlist pack in place of Jumanji, which should be reinstated when AF opens on Friday.

*Bumped up the volume for the Zombieland 2 trailer to 4.5.

Special Events/ AV set up: None

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received Gemini Man and Zombieland.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received and ingested Gemini Man to the TMS. Print for Over the Edge came in, should probably get inspected this evening, as the show is tomorrow. We brought it up to 4/6, figuring it might be fun to inspect something up there for a change. Addams Family is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Fedex came and picked up the three film prints and the two drives we had sitting around. We have a couple ready to go to UPS (Akira and It 2) whenever someone gets around to it.

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Added Addams Family, Zombieland 2, and Parasite.

Maintenance/cleaning: Threw out some old posters from the Trivia section. I think we need a better system for keeping track of posters. Maybe we can put the ones we know we'll need in the first two columns, then the ones that are a month or two away in the third, and the ones that are way further out in the last one? Just to get us started? Trivia stuff should be things people actually want, too. I doubt these trivia-going film geeks are going to be super stoked on getting a Ready or Not poster as a prize for their hard earned wisdom. Anyhow, that poster box was full to the brim so let's try to rein it it in a bit!

* Cleaned up lens alignment in theater 6, and set the theater 3 masking motor back to 1.77 on the third preset.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Today's and tomorrows are looking good. We got started on the sheets for next week, Erin took care of Friday and Saturday (no credits times for AF or some of the one off events yet). Built the scheduler for those two days as well, just using old playlists (just for practice). These will have to be swapped out with the updated playlists once those are made.

*Can we move forward with the schedule I proposed last week? Just to reiterate:
  • Tuesday AM: Builds Friday and Saturday
  • Tuesday PM: Builds Sunday, double checks weekend
  • Wednesday AM: Builds Monday through Wednesday
  • Wednesday PM: Builds Thursday, double checks weekdays.
  • Thursday AM: Cue sheet review with Mascha
I guess if we get the schedule early on Monday night, if the evening person wants to get a jump start then that's great! But I want to try to not get behind this schedule if possible so nobody's stuck doing the whole thing. So Karen, if you would tonight please build Sunday and check the work Erin did today, we'll be in great shape. If you want to give Alec a head start since he's in late tomorrow, that'd be nice of you, too. Just want to try this out and see if it works, but please let me know if it makes more sense to do this differently.

Marquee updated?: No updates today

Posters updated?: Put out Gemini Man and Zombieland 2. Addams family should probably go out, I just didn't realize until too late that it's opening on Friday.

Cleaning lights on for the night?:n/a

Projectors off for the night?:n/a

Projection cart by TH5?:back in 3/7

Nest:n/a

Additional Notes: Worked with Erin today in depth on the TMS stuff, as well as cue sheets and the opening procedure. It's a lot to absorb and she's doing really well!
