NPP Projection Report 10/7 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: If possible, please try saving the Monsieur Le Butch video .mxf file to the Dropbox desktop folder (it will say our Dropbox is full, but just ignore that it will still copy over) and copy it to the folder on the DCPII drive when it’s done.

Also, restart the Right There download on Cyberduck. Select Google Drive, sign into my account, then the .zip file should show up in the “Shared with me” folder. I’ll take care of Unidentified Objects tomorrow.

Convert Going Away to DCP, and ingest whatever possible.

Wallace & Gromit can be ingested to Th1, as well.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the Wendell & Wild trailer and Till preshow.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Triangle of Sadness, sent to all servers.

The computer was being very slow today, but I managed to decrypt the Paperboy Love DCP, download an updated version of Ahu’s Journal, and download most of the Monsieur Le Butch DCP components (this is missing the video). Started converting Going Away but the computer crashed and it will need to be redone (admittedly was trying to do too much at once, had this going, the Monsieur video component copying to the Dropbox folder, Unidentified Objects DCP video component downloading on Cyberduck, which was going fine until I tried downloading the Right There DCP through Cyberduck as well, which had failed on Chrome).

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: QC’d Time and Tide, looks and sounds great. Added a volume cue to the playlist.

Checked New Moon, all good.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: I ended up switching the lamp that was previously in Th1 projector 1 back in since the one from Theater 2 did not look as good. I was able to focus it pretty well, though the shadow in the corners of the screen was a good bit more prominent than with the old lamp. The lamps
are a different size, and the one from Th2 might not have been the best for Th1. The lamp from Th2 is back in projector 2 there.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in cues for the weekend, New Moon, Spoons, and Sundays on Fire weren't complete. 

Marquee updated?:

Posters updated?: Moved Amsterdam and Lyle Lyle outside and hung Triangle of Sadness and Banshees in the lobby.

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. To do this evening/ was completed: I will be out tomorrow as I'm still recovering from a bad cold and need another day to rest. I will have notes via email tomorrow. I will also be joining the cinema meeting and will be remoting in from home. I reached out to Rebecca again and cc'd Lauren and Ian who will be here during the early hours tomorrow so that they know I'm out in case they walkie and can contact me via phone/email. If Jack is able to come in a little earlier, I'll let management know. I let management know about the iPad (per Jack's blog) which I'm running the updates on right now and had hoped would be done soon but they're still going so I let them know to use the Spotify app in the meantime if Soundtrack doesn't work, but it should.  The print of It's Alive  went down well (if you don't count the lad that threw up in the theatre and then right outside the door). NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Home Alone DCP ahead of the private event this morning, no issues. The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat will be making a DCP of Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow for the private event in T1 on Tuesday morning. Chenelle will get the blu-ray sent over here for us to have as backup. I set up the blu-ray player so it's connected to both the monitor and the projector, in case we end up needing to use the blu-ray. I sent Lillian and McKegg an email about this separately. I checked the scope blu-ray projector channel in Theater 1 and it's good to go should we need to screen the blu-ray. I started the DCP of Death Race 2000 on the T1 Mac.
