Projection Admin 10/07



To do this evening/ was completed: Hopped over to the Williamsburg location this morning to pick up a Mac mini and met with Joe for a bit, who showed me around the office space. Nice to meet you in person, Joe.⚘ 

I set up accounts with Grainger and Uline for projection. 

Continued downloading NewFest content and troubleshooting DCPs/video files that were giving us grief. Paperboy, Before I Change My Mind and Ahu's Journal DCPs have been taken care of and need to be ingested. We need to continue downloading content for A Very Trans Time for NewFest, then we'll be in good shape for Monday's tech check. Cosboi, Monsieur Butch DCPs are on the DCPII drive and will need to be ingested. Going Away is also on the drive but it's file 'GA Lock' should be made into a DCP again. Please check the NewFest DCP x tracking sheet to see what's been taken care of and what has not.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received poster from Universal, Ticket to Paradise. It's in the 3/7 booth.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Took two CRU drives to the post office; Willy Wonka and Death Becomes Her. 

Print/video Inspection: McKegg came in for training today and inspected Wes Craven, worked on his threading patterns in T1 (Alec showed him loops as well). 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: 
I slightly deconstructed and oiled the Kelmar bench in T1 to ease inspection. The carbon brush motors on both will most likely need to be replaced, and the felt pads will be taken care of. I also partially deconstructed and cleaned the bench in T4/6, taking a took at the belts and where the spindle locks in since this bench has also been getting a little stuck.

The new belts we will get from Grainger should be roughly ~ 440 length = 44" adjusted to maybe 45" depending on the machine (Simplex or Century). I'll make sure we properly measure at both locations. Might have to adjust the swing of the arm or position of the pully...

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. To do this evening/ was completed: I will be out tomorrow as I'm still recovering from a bad cold and need another day to rest. I will have notes via email tomorrow. I will also be joining the cinema meeting and will be remoting in from home. I reached out to Rebecca again and cc'd Lauren and Ian who will be here during the early hours tomorrow so that they know I'm out in case they walkie and can contact me via phone/email. If Jack is able to come in a little earlier, I'll let management know. I let management know about the iPad (per Jack's blog) which I'm running the updates on right now and had hoped would be done soon but they're still going so I let them know to use the Spotify app in the meantime if Soundtrack doesn't work, but it should.  The print of It's Alive  went down well (if you don't count the lad that threw up in the theatre and then right outside the door). NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Home Alone DCP ahead of the private event this morning, no issues. The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat will be making a DCP of Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow for the private event in T1 on Tuesday morning. Chenelle will get the blu-ray sent over here for us to have as backup. I set up the blu-ray player so it's connected to both the monitor and the projector, in case we end up needing to use the blu-ray. I sent Lillian and McKegg an email about this separately. I checked the scope blu-ray projector channel in Theater 1 and it's good to go should we need to screen the blu-ray. I started the DCP of Death Race 2000 on the T1 Mac.
