NPP Projection Report Wednesday 2/5 CLOSE Chris



To do tomorrow AM:
-Tech Color out of Space PS.

-Might as well decide Babies vol for 1917, since the trailer pack and SPL are built.

-Build BoP SPL, I've left a note on the board with lighting cues.

Presentation Issues:
-Slight hiccup with August at Akikos in T3 in that the lights went to MID a half-hour early due to a mis-timed cue. Should've caught it when looking over the SPL, my mistake. Lights were up for around 30 secs.

Preshow Clips/Playlist:
-Built SPLs for the coming week of 2/07, made two for each film, one with WKND attached and one without. Difference is in the Trailer packs attached, all marked with WKND have trailer packs that keep the trailer for our oscar night to be used through Sunday, the ones with out those four letters use trailer packs that drop the Oscar ad to be used from Monday on.

Trailer Updates:
-Brought in our new Card, Feb_A_Update and applied it to all new SPLs.

Special Events/ AV set up:
-Aside from the aforementioned lighting mishap and the fact that the credits being so short (~45secs) led to my scrambling with the chairs a bit, the event in T3 went swimmingly. Q+A footage was offloaded to EVO Q+A folder, name AugustAtAkikos_NPPQ+A_020520. All equipment has been properly stored away.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):
-We were... blessed? with even more Call of the Wild posters oddly bundled in with the ones for New Mutants.

Ordering/Receiving (content):
-Brought in Color Out of Space preshows.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):
-Packed up last weeks TrailMix, it's ready for UPS.

-Deleted August at Akikos from all servers.

Print/video Inspection:
-Tech'd "Generic Comics PS 40" all the way through, looks and sounds fine at the usual PS settings.

-Likewise for "Portrait PS 20 and 10"

-Tech'd Birds of Prey. Looks and sounds great, as one would expect from the first really big studio picture of the year. Setting Vol @ 5, although I'd prefer 5.5 but I think we'd drown in noise complaints.

-Tech'd "Once We Were Brothers' Trailer, kind of a loud TV friendly mix, so set vol at 4.0. Sticks out even in the flat package because it's 16x9.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes added info for Birds of Prey.

Maintenance/cleaning: None today had a good bit of other stuff to do.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):
-Entered end times for Friday 2/7 except for Birds of Prey, this day is also complete on the scheduler, sans BoP.

Marquee updated?:N/A

Posters updated?:N/A

Additional Notes:
-The screen right speaker closest to the front in T3 is buzzing at certain lower tones. A minute long scene in BoP starting at 31:00 demonstrates this a few times. Another good example of this in BoP starting at 33:45 a vol 5 or higher as well as a sequence of pulsing bass notes starting at 1:23:30.

-TMS fully crashed and needed reboot twice in 6 hours.

Projection Admin 9/18

To do this evening/ was completed: Big day for teching. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kat sent a new QR code clip which I tech'd volume for and added to all the 9/18 and SE playlists we have. The volume (3.8) has been noted on the white board. Projection Admin 9/2

To do this evening/ was completed: Our Network has been updated. Nick from DMS came in to drop off the relay mechanism and take a look at 3/7 before his install visit next week. I showed him in and around the space and he checked in with the WiFi guys. He also liased with Chris whilst scoping out the existing relay system in in 3/7.  It is still somewhat of a wreck in the 46 booth (cables and boxes that, to my knowledge, need to be thrown out, but I asked if they were going to clean up/what needs to be cleared out and I didn't get a proper response in both English and when I asked in Spanish lol so apparently someone might be coming round to finish that up tomorrow. If we don't, we can call Juan and double check. I did tidy things up though, so at least it's not absolute chaos in here.  Once the Network was up and properly running, I tested out theatres 4 and 6 to see if anything needed to be rebooted and lo n behold, only the dimmer panels needed to be rebooted in all the...
