Since there is already and Adult pack for the Summer of Soul opening on Thursday there's no need for a new one until Black Widow opens. I built the trailer pack for next Thursday (7/8) but I'm holding off on building/scheduling the corresponding SPL's until this Thursday (7/1) when some out of date SPL's can be deleted, to avoid having too many multiples of the first run playlists. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: We've been having the occasional issue with the lights down cue not firing in theater 7. I will bring this up with DMS when they come in to fix the ILS in Theater 1. For now let's keep an eye on this at the start of every feature in this house. Best to check from the booth so we can bring the lights down right away if the cue doesn't work. You'll know if it did by the wall mounted panel on the wall behind the rack in 3/7. When house lights go down, the green lights by "Channel 1" and "Channel 2" on the panel will turn off. Server staff radioed me but it started playing again a few seconds after I responded. Manually started the 5:15 Peter Rabbit 2 in T4 due to TMS scheduling overlap. Forgot to send this last night... To do this evening/ was completed: I adjusted the preshow lighting in all houses except 2, I'll adjust in there once the center lights are working properly again. In all other houses lights lower to the FULL setting (which was the setting throughout the whole preshow previously) for the welcome slides and then lower to the UP setting, which is dimmer but not so dim that reading the menu becomes difficult, right when the actual preshow starts. I also made some changes to the credit lighting as well; lights raise to the MID setting at the start of credits, then raise further to the UP setting at the start of the crawl, then to Cleaning when the movie finishes. Keep in mind there is no difference between MID and UP settings in houses 3, 5, and 7, as there are only two available dimmer settings in those houses, so this lighting change during credits only happens in houses 1, 2, 4, and 6. To do this evening/ was completed: Jerry from DMS was in today and addressed the issues we've been having. The flat channel is temporarily fixed in 1, although it's likely we're going to need a new ILS board. For now he adjusted the flat channel so that the lens stays in the scope position with the image zoomed and cropped for 1.85. It's not a perfect solution but will certainly do until the board can be replaced. He fixed the masking automation issue in theater 1. For some reason the GPO trigger for the scope cue was not working, so he switched it to a different output and it works now. For reference the stop on the motor hasn't changed, it's still the #1 button, he just changed the automation trigger behind the rack. He determined the lighting issue in Theater 2 was something to do with the wiring in the ceiling, so we'll need to have an electrician in. The offset and zoom functions did nothing, and the "ILS offline" error persists. I updated the show playlists in there for this week so that preshow plays in scope. All the features programmed in this theater this week are scope as well, and I wrote Matthew about it just in case this does not get fixed by DMS next week for whatever reason. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow content for the 7PM In the Heights in T1 was bleeding over the top and bottom of the screen. The projector touch screen read: “Critical Alarm: Peripherals.” Alec was called to assist in troubleshooting. At his direction I rebooted the projector but the issue remained. Jerry from DTS was also contacted and suggested another reboot or manual adjustment of the flat lens files. Because I was pressed for time I reloaded the preshow playlist to no avail and forwarded it to the trailers, where I noticed the scope files were playing without error. The movie ended 12 minutes behind schedule as a result of this malfunction but went smoothly despite the preshow ordeal. Alec was contacted again and will readjust the flat lens files in T1 tomorrow morning to prevent this from disrupting future shows. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: During the first round screening of A Quiet Place in Theater 2, the small metal flag which indicates the exhaust from the top of the projector is working broke off and was sucked up into the duct, causing a A/C blower interlock error and the lamp to automatically shut off, even though the exhaust was working. Luckily I was walking up to the booth to check on it right as this happened so I started fixing it right away. I had to tape the piece of metal which held the flag into its upward position so the error would go away and I could turn the lamp back on. Once I did I told Gerard and the T2 server the movie was back on and rewound it 5 minutes. This should be a pretty easy fix for DMS. If they happen to have the part when they come tomorrow I'm sure they can fix it then, otherwise it should hold until the piece can be replaced.
