NPP Projection Report Sat. 2/18 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Cleared some content off the servers, left Aftersun and Tar on the TMS and saving the Woman Talking drive since these might come back.

I made a cue on the T3 server for the 1.90 lens file, this is for the private event on Tuesday.

Noticed on the cue sheets that all rep DCP titles had HI listed as available accessibility tracks, but none of these DCPs have that available. If "HI" is not included in the name of the DCP, the track won't be included.

I re-encoded La La Land with HandBrake, it was done with a 2-channel stereo mixdown which is the default on HandBrake (and you can't really change it in the preset since the mixdown we want will depend on the mix of the source). We have to make sure to change the audio mixdown in the audio tab on HandBrake, 5.1 and 7.1 mixes mixed down to 2.0 will sound OK, but more muddy and less distinct with all the surround audio info crammed into the left and right channels. I noticed this with the Shrek DCP yesterday. I've added this to the blu-ray ripping section of the manual with an image. Please convert to DCP when this finishes, but it might need to go into the night.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Inspected Fatal Attraction, definitely shows its age (some scratching, a few splices and tears throughout, and a decent amount of edge/sprocket repair was done on it) but should play fine. Reminder to please put the Google Sheet inspection forms in the proper year/month folder on Drive.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
