NPP Projection Report 4/20 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: The lights did not come up at the end of Evil Dead Rise in theater 2 during the second round -- turned out that in place of a "Lights UP" cue there was a "masking 1.66" cue added to the point in the feature where the credits began which kept the theater dark and the curtains narrower than usual -- I adjusted this accordingly and double checked the OCAP playlist to make sure it didn't share the same error

Special Events/ AV set up: Dazed and Confused film feast in theater 3 went smoothly (John/Stewart/Nick chose to speak without a microphone so I removed it before the pre-show and used it in Trees instead for John Woods to announce trivia during his DJ set -- this was brought back up to 4/6) 

I tested volume with Cristina in theater 2 prior to the Shouting at the Screen pre-show (I did not realize that the moving spots were off in this booth and it was too late to switch over to them since I had thrown the wash on for the hosts' introduction) and the feature screening was a success

Outgoing/Shipping (content): FedEx came by this evening and picked up the two film canisters left on the black cart by the side entrance

Maintenance/cleaning: Trees Lounge DJ and Shouting at the Screen setups were broken down and all items were returned to their proper storage

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Removed outgoing first run titles and added letters for Beau is Afraid, Chevalier, and Evil Dead Rise; also added letters for Ronin

Posters updated?: Took down D&D and placed Evil Dead Rise outside; added Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret to the lobby under a coming soon snipe

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by entrance?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
