Projection Admin 7/19



To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional. 

I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. This document details everything from notes on threading procedures--to cleaning--to examples of common situations and how to respond/communicate with colleagues and, of course, staying on top of other duties. Whilst Alec and I will be there for the first couple of screenings and to assist with each projectionists' first time running the platter--please, please, please take the time to read through this. It is two pages. Tomorrow I will be print out 2 copies so that there's one for T4 and another for T1. Alec--as I mentioned earlier, please feel free to add anything!

Mulan and 13 Going on 30 playlists are made, but the latter should get tech'd for sound and credits offset. 

The private for Elemental on Friday has been built/scheduled.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received the correct DCP file for the Embarrassment (Music Driven show) this is currently downloading via Cyberduck to the desktop in T1 since we are copying over loads of content to the drive for Kat in T1. 

KDMs have all been received and uploaded. 

We need Runaway. The second we get this it will need to be inspected. 

We received The Misfits and Will is ingesting it in T2. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Alec started inspecting Safe and Will is finishing it! 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Alec and I cleaned the platter/projector today. Cleaned the scope lens. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): yes! Added loads of offset info for 35mm. 

Marquee updated?: I took down Indiana Jones/Past Lives and moved Asteroid City/ Elemental around to accommodate Oppenheimer and Barbie so that they're on the same line...with some fun embellishment.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
