Projection Admin 10/13

To do this evening/ was completed: Hi everyone! Just as another friendly reminder ~ I've emailed you all the link to the Spotify playlist that the NewFest folks would like us to use during preshow for each screening. I have added this link to all NewFest event memos for this upcoming week (tomorrow's Wake n Bake show is ready) apart from Alma Mula, which I can't find an Event Memo for. I reached out to Desmond about this. One more crucial reminder: NewFest folks want house lights up during all intros and q&as. I've been going through all playlists to make sure this is accurate. - L

We tech'd both episodes of HBO's Our Flag Means Death for NewFest today, along with both of the new slides for the intro and q&a. I deleted the old slides off the TMS/T1 so there's no confusion. I built the playlist for this. - L

Kim highlighted the shorts programs that needed to get rearranged. Some were out of order (they had to check in with their programming folks) so it took a minute, but I made the changes in all the playlists that need this. Also- Just so everyone's aware, the warner bros trailer is 4.5. - L

DMS came in this morning to work in 3/7. I'll let Alec explain the bulk of change, but I rescheduled this week on the TMS as they swapped the servers (we didn't actually want them to do this) so content had to be reingested. T3 is working just fine. - L

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: We received new content for 10/20 from Kat today. All available content can get downloaded and ingested Thank you. - L 

I checked through a NewFest playlist today, all cues on the CP750 worked normally and the playlist didn't rewind itself at all. I'm quite certain that when these playlists are just playing though during the shows without any pausing/skipping there won't be any issues. I'm going to check through the playlist for tomorrow in Th1 with Desmond tomorrow morning, as well. -AL

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We got posters for The Killer.

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received a can of a print of The Conjuring. We are not showing this, it was sent here by mistake and needs to go to the Coolidge Corner in MA. They'll send us their FedEx account # so we can ship it to them. It's on the cart. -AL

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Took a look at Scream, Blacula, Scream with Cristina today. File looks great! Better than expected. vol 4.5. Tech'd My Own Private Idaho today as well. Made all necessary adjustments to the playlist. - L

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: DMS installed a loaner projector in Theater 3 and remade all our DCP screen files (1.33, 1.37, 1.66, 1.78, 1.85, 2.00, 2.20, and 2.39 scope). Checked automation and masking for all these, made some tiny adjustments to the screen files and masking but everything looks good! They also switched the Th3 and Th7 servers, which they'd mentioned as part of their plan as we were emailing and I told them wasn't necessary, but they either didn't see my message or just decided to go ahead with it anyway... Since the servers are different models (Th7's was upgraded to an IMS3 not long ago, I'm sure you'll recall) we couldn't swap the drives to avoid having to reingest content, so we have to ingest everything for NewFest to Th3 again. Jack, if you could make sure all of this content gets ingested to Th3 tonight, that would be great. Some might not be on the TMS and will have to be transferred fro Th7. They reached out Deluxe to issue new keys, which they did. -AL

Put a new lamp in the Th 7 projector -AL

Replaced the batteries in the Th3 spotlights. -AL

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Added offset info for My Own Private Idaho this weekend and tagged Paul. - L
