Projection Admin 10/16



To do this evening/ was completed: Hey everyone! I'll be getting in touch soon to go over potential dates for our Fall projection meeting. I think it's time we regroup and chat with one another as we move into a new season, that way we can discuss things like scheduling, training, and how we can get better as a team in general. More on this soon...

Note on staff screenings: I know it's normally mine or Alec's task to schedule staff screenings, but the screenings that were supposed to play today did not get scheduled on the TMS and one of the features didn't have an active KDM. I heard from MOD recently that they started late whilst I was gone, too. For future reference should Alec and I be out, I find it's always best to immediately schedule them as soon as you send the email out. 

Update on T3: I ran tests this morning, moving between scheduled playlists as mock runs and manually running through things. I did, at the beginning, get that white light (few other strange things were happened, but mostly the white light). I spoke to Chris from DMS to see if he had any suggestions since my assumption was that something was just simply up with the dowser itself. His idea is that there's something up with the ICP (some connection failure of sorts), so he ran a diagnostic and sent the log to Christie. Unfortunately, as it turns out there's been issues with this projector in the past (yes, they just installed this and we didn't know) in which the dowser functionality was removed because of that. Chris modified the 'dowser close' cue so that there's a blank screen and no white light at the end of shows. I did a few tests and it's all holding up so far. 

Presentation Issues: 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Adjusted some the length of preshow in Alma Mula and per a last request from HBO, we'll have house lights down during the intros and Q&As! I modified the playlists. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Tested the mics in T1 and T3 with Will and Desmond. Will and I added the stands. Got a last request to add a mic in Trees Lounge for load in/announcements, so I put one up by the step and repeat. This has been tested. Later this eve HBO/Demond/Will and jack and I ran trough everything together. Should be a good evening!

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the updated Scorsese_25min preshow content. This has been ingested and tech'd, along with the 15min and 5min. 

Reached out to Deluxe for an updated KDM for Taylor Swift. Keys will be sent out tomorrow for 10/19 - 10/23. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): That one accidental can of The Conjuring is getting picked up this evening. 

Print/video Inspection:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Double checked today and tomorrow. Added Killers of the Flower Moon/Anatomy of a Fall to the TMS for Thursday.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
