NPP Projection Close 3/13

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled the show playlist for Make Me Famous (offset times and lights cues have been added to it and the cue sheets) + built and scheduled the pre-show playlist for Legend on 3/19

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran a reel of Friday the 13th Part IV for Desmond in theater 1 to see how bad the fading on the print was -- blue fading throughout, not ideal, but not as bad as it looked off the celluloid

Boyz n the Hood intro and screening in theater 1 went smoothly + re-inspected the print after the screening and placed it back on its shipping reels

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Downloaded new "Reconsider This" pre-show content (for March) for the Legend screening next week

Downloaded, converted, and ingested both Jawbreaker slides for the upcoming drag performance and screening

Keys for It's Complicated were delivered just after midnight and downloaded/ingested to the TMS

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Boyz n the Hood was re-inspected and put back on shipping reels/in its canisters -- return labels for these can be printed tomorrow

Print/video Inspection:

Maintenance/cleaning: The A/C units in booths 3, 5, and 7 all displayed error messages and were not running this evening -- I relayed this information to the MODs when I felt how hot 3/7 was and left the doors to each booth open to let some of the air out -- MODs tried and failed to reboot the units to get them working again (thankfully the projectors maintained functionality through the final rounds) but the error messages did not change and Matthew was told about the problem -- Update: the booths have cooled slightly but are still warmer than usual; I have kept the doors to these booths open to let more hot air escape

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Double checked all cues against the TMS and initialed for confirmation

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
