NPP Projection Report 4/13 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: We have two back to back marquee rentals on Monday and Tuesday, both for shoots in the morning. I'll put up the copy for Monday tomorrow night. The rental for Tuesday is using the front and the left (35mm title) side. This is probably going to have to go up during the day or early evening on Monday since there's the 35mm screening Monday night. I wrote down all the copy for Tuesday and put it up on the whiteboard, there's quite a lot of text.

The Monday event will be shooting in Trees as well as out front, and they have three music videos they want to have played on the projector screen and TVs. I downloaded them all from Youtube and added them to our Plex, they are in the library titled "PinkPantheress 4/15" 

Theater 3 went down again. I was expecting it because it's happened the past two Saturdays in a row, but it still managed to catch me off guard, happening during the first round. MOD radioed me that the movie shut off two minutes in and lights came up, not sure if anyone actually saw the movie start then stop or just noticed it wasn't playing two minutes after it was due to start (I'm guessing it's the latter), because if the movie had started it shouldn't have stopped even if the projector issue happened.

Tried a number of things to get any computer to recognize the DCPII drive to get the Cabaret panel recording off. Everything seems to indicate that the hard drive has just failed. I put in a request for a quote with a data recovery service, think that's our best bet if we want to recover this. Tried a data recovery software which scanned the T1 PC for free and it did not turn up the file of the recording.

Special Events/ AV set up: The Zoom Q&A for Cohen & Tate on Monday is confirmed. I removed some of the trailers from the playlist and added the Nitehawk logo slide for an intro. Will, I'll go over the setup with you when I get in tomorrow night.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested the NoBudge shorts to Theater 1.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Scheduled a pickup for Don't Be a Menace and placed it on the cart. It's getting picked up on Monday.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
