Projection Admin 6/26



To do this evening/ was completed: Staff Screenings have been built, sent out, scheduled on the TMS and blocked on the calendar. Weekly Update is out - we're looking great on content for this week and the week ahead, in fact. Just need that print of Bound, really. - L

Kinds of Kindness tech'd, T2 booth swept and somewhat mopped.

Upcoming first run letters set out in 3/7.

Double-checked all lighting cues for the show tonight.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlists for Talented Mr. Ripley, Phantasm, Jaws, On the Town and ingested the 25min, 15min and 5min preshow content for Jaws. Mind you, these will need to be tech'd (apart from Ripley). Also, I added 3 minutes of black at the end of On the Town as it's an oldie with barely any credits. Tagged and informed Paul on the cue sheets. 
Ingested Generic Zombies preshow for Phantasm. 
Still need to add the slide for Jaws! Not yet available on the drive. 
Downloaded and ingested the Generic Money preshow content and Robbin Season preshow content for Bound.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Spoke to Desmond to make sure the playlist for this evening is good to go and i added black between the Ramona slide and the Breakdown slide for Basic Instinct so that there's proper time for them to bow, use the mic if need be, and then we can press play and head into the breakdown slide. I redid the slide as, when Jack went through this again, apparently it had no sound? I wasn't present at the time, but this was definitely tech'd the other week, so we're not sure what happened. Regardless, everything has been updated and looks/sounds great. Lighting cues are all set which Jack wrote down on an additional card for Alec, but I also added them to the event memo last week, so we're safe n secure. - L

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): 

Ordering/Receiving (content): We're to receive a DCP of The Miseducation of Cameron Post, potentially coming from an Aspera contingent, Faspex, so I asked the rep if our regular Aspera account will work for delivery. - L

We received the print of DOA - Jack brought this up from downstairs! Update: Inspected and on house reels, it's in great condition.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Went through every FedEx point of contact alive, but the other half of the Hellraiser print is, in fact, on its way back to B. Darwas after a delay due to an error with trailer dispatch. Forwarded Brian the info, and kept him aware and updated throughout the day. - L

Maintenance/cleaning: Ordered more cartridges for the Swiffer. They should be here by tomorrow. 
Spoke to Alec about the fan warning in T2 and we'll likely just order another. Also, don't worry about this for now, it's just an additional feature for cooling but we'll survive without it. Just good to have when running as many shows as we do. - L

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
