NPP Projection Report 7/18 Close


To do this evening/ was completed: I didn't get a chance to update this on the marquee and take down the poster, but Kinds of Kindness is officially done.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Cristina let me know there was supposed to be a new version of the Shouting at the Screen preshow playing tonight. It's listed on the trailer list (V2) but hadn't been downloaded so it wasn't on any server. I've downloaded/ingested it and deleted the old version from T2 and the TMS.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Dj set up was smooth in Trees. Broke it down once Shouting at the Screen was underway.

Ditto Shouting at the Screen. One of the hosts' mics was sounding compressed/garbled during the intro, I checked the mixer and unpressed the HPF 60Hz button for his mic. Be aware of this button, it shouldn't ever be pressed. Was checking on the screening periodically and things mostly sounded fine, though there was some light feedback from the mics at points. Noticeable but not outright unpleasant. Probably just need to reduce the gain a bit on the mixer when we test the mics next time.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
