Projection Close 9/24



To do this evening/ was completed: Metallica was the hardest show I've had in awhile, which Alec warned me of. The cues were terrible to begin with as they were printed on the 1.85 ratio instead of the film's true 1.37. Not uncommon for stuff like that, but a pain in the ass, coupled with port window not having any space to see the cues (whilst on projector 1). I had a delayed changeover on the first reel, the first one I've missed during a show in a few years, so I'm bummed about that, but the rest of the show went fine. Thank you to McKegg, who I had shout out the cues to me from the other side of booth when it was too difficult to see them on some reels. The recorded the intro and Q&A. 

Had a great review for McKegg with Alec and Joe. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled the playlist for The Harvest. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Put up the poster for the Metallica show in the lobby. I'll change it out tomorrow morning. 

Thank you to McKegg for getting Trivia sorted. I cleaned everything up and put the AV box key back in the bin. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): DCP'd and ingested all of the October slides Desmond sent this afternoon. 
Downloaded and ingested my last three shorts. 

Downloaded a feature from my section for NewFest. - Please remember to keep an eye on these. 

Uploaded keys for My Old Ass. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): 

Print/video Inspection: Tomorrow morning I'll re-inspect the Metallica print and get it onto its new shipping reels. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: T1 projectors have been deep cleaned. 

Plugging the mouse in to charge overnight. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Will be updating The Harvest info tomorrow morning. 

Marquee updated?: Noticed that the marquee only had one title put back up after the birthday event yesterday, so I'll put up Henry and Demon Knight tomorrow morning. Please, please remember to check in with our titles and beef it out a bit. It helps to make sure we're still advertising our titles.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
