NPP Projection Close 11/14

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Missed the changeover cue during the switch between reels 1 and 2 (these were higher up than anticipated and hard to see with the extra tape on the port glass) which caused for some of the reel tail to be visible for a moment...following the changeover between reels 4 and 5 the soundtrack reverted back to the former as the tail of reel 4 ran over the analog sound drum (not sure what caused this but there was a delay of a couple seconds as I hit the changeover switch and got sound back on 5)

Special Events/ AV set up: Beyond the Mat screening in theater 4 went well despite the aforementioned minor technical hiccups + cleaned the projectors following the show

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for The Brutalist and stored them behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Removed feature content for Emilia Perez and The Graduates from the TMS and individual servers this evening 

Print/video Inspection: Left Beyond the Mat tails out as there was some discussion of a potential staff screening in the coming days(?) but if not it can be re-inspected tomorrow afternoon/evening

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report Friday 1/31 CLOSE Chris

Presentation Issues: -I believe Karen thoroughly covered this in an email but there were serious issues with the CP500 for the 6:20 Lil Women; no sound for the first three minutes and it dropped out again the very moment the 500 was taken off manual. The last foil cues continue to fail to fire. The platter worked fine, tho it is not a graceful competence, double-wrapping the film around the brain in the first fourth of the movie before the motor kicks in. -The Rhythm Section SPL had it's LTS DOWN cue set to fire at the beginning of the 10 count preshow portion, rather than the end when the trailers hit. Fixed that.
