NPP Projection Close 11/15

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Ingested The Boy and the Heron to theater 7 from the DCPIII drive, built and scheduled its show playlist, and checked credits on the DVD for a house lights up cue (still worth double checking this for picture quality and any necessary volume adjustment)

Built all first run trailer packs and Gladiator II show playlists for the week of 11/22

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Tech'd The Conversation in theater 2 between rounds this evening and increased its volume (there was a house lights up cue built into the playlist -- lights will come up over the final shot as credits roll)

Switched lenses and plates in booth 1 to scope for Any Given Sunday + ran a loop on projector 1 and got focus (taped around the port glass where it was needed and filed some of its plate down) and ran reel 1 to get focus and volume (took some photos/videos and sent them to Desmond -- the print looks and sounds fantastic)

Tech'd La Strada in theater 1 after the final round, increased the feature volume, and added a lights up cue to the very brief (18 seconds) of credits at the end of the film

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a bunch of character posters for A Complete Unknown and one sheets for Drop + organized these and took the liberty of consolidating the stock of trivia posters (tossed a handful of older titles away and cut down on the number of Red One posters since we were sent something like a dozen of them)

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested additional trailers for 11/22 first run SPLs (Babygirl, Lord of the Rings, Nosferatu, and Mufasa) and double checked to make sure all other trailer content was on the TMS

Downloaded and ingested pre-show content for the private The Boy and the Heron event on 11/17 and all forecast and pre-show content for Gladiator II and Wicked show playlists for the week of 11/22

Gladiator II feature content was made available this evening via Deluxe and all versions were downloaded to the TMS

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
