NPP Projection Report 11/16 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Rest of the year's schedule is posted!

I'm attempting to locate the DCP IV drive to bring back to Williamsburg. If anyone can look around for it or knows where it is I'd appreciate it. Joe sent it over with The Graduates on it last week and he needs it back. It's not plugged into either desktop or any of the projectors.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Added a minute of black to both Conversation and La Strada playlists so the lights don't go right to cleaning after the very short credits on both movies tomorrow.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Checked Conversation in 2 this morning because I wanted to see how it looked after yesterday and it looks great. Put the test pattern up and checked both flat and scope files as well and both look really good.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): I brought the Dog Man standee up to 4/6 since I've reached out to Universal about returning it.

Ordering/Receiving (content):

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Deleted some features from the T1, T2, and T4 servers as they were getting full.

Print/video Inspection: Checked the Boy and the Heron DCP in 7. All good for tomorrow. The blu-ray is up in 4/6 as it needs to be returned to the host.

I rewound Beyond the Mat onto house reels again since we might be doing a staff screening.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Ordered new curtains and rods for the T2 booth windows.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Additional Notes: The Digibeta player is in 4/6 in a box under the desk. This will be going over to WB at some point soon.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
