Special Events/ AV set up: Double checked the Monty Python & The Holy Grail special event show playlist before the final round in theater 7 + corresponded with Raekwon prior to the guests' arrival and got the show underway as soon as the previous round let out... (but wait there's more...see below)

✨ Another night, another seemingly botched event handled by yours truly. We held off having the guests enter the theater at the start of the pre-show since the room was still being cleaned from the last round and Raekwon was rushing to cut menus from an item change, so by the time they arrived and got settled nearly ten minutes of the pre-show had passed. I set up the mic on the mic stand and raised the master volume on the mixer before they entered and everything seemed fine up until the moment we got to the birthday slide, which appeared on screen a few minutes too early, but I let it play until it paused and figured the hosts would all schmooze for a bit, wherein the hosts completely ignored the mic and spotlights and improvised a brief speech to everyone in the room, leading me to believe we were bypassing the rest of the formalities and letting the film run normally. The birthday video played and the feature began, at which point Raekwon radioed me and said the sundae was on its way in and that the guests still wanted to sing happy birthday. I reversed the playlist to the slide, brought the house lights back up, waited a couple minutes more for the dessert to make its entrance, and finally everyone sang and the host gave another half baked speech, followed promptly by some loving remarks by his partner, after which the birthday video and feature played again without any further interruption. Ultimately, everyone seemed pleased with the proceedings, but somewhere along the lines there wasn't the proper overlap needed to make for a smooth transition into the film from the scheduled itinerary. Whatever. Everyone got to watch Monty Python and The Holy Grail in the end after all. ✨

Note: I have left the mixer connected but coiled the mic cable and left the spotlight remote beneath the curtain in theater 7 + the stand was brought back up to theater 1

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Additional posters for Hell of a Summer were delivered and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content): Began converting the REC feature file (with English subs) to DCP on the Headquarters hard drive and this should finish sometime tomorrow evening

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Double checked all cues for tomorrow and cross referenced the schedule tab on Screenwriter + initialed for confirmation

Marquee updated?: Removed outgoing first run titles and added letters for Black Bag, Novocaine, and Opus + removed Pariah from the 35mm side and replaced it with Full Metal Jacket and its screening date

Posters updated?: Added "now showing" snipes to all new first run posters on display

Took down Companion and replaced it with I'm Still Here + added Death of a Unicorn and A Minecraft Movie posters to the lobby and put Snow White and The Alto Knights outside under "coming soon" snipes
