NPP Projection Close 3/19



To do this evening/ was completed: Full Metal Jacket itself went smoothly. There was a show end pack built into the preshow playlist, at the end, which I noticed in advance and tried to preempt, but the house lights cleaning cue overrode my repeated pressing of the house lights down cue, so the cleaning lights came up for just a second after the preshow concluded, before the feature was put on screen.

Updated the REC playlist with the new feature DCP. Saved and synced, feature transferring to 1 so check it out in the next day or two.

Looked at We Cloned Tyrone between rounds in T2. Volume and lights up cues are good to go but I did notice that the 2:1 lens file does not fully fit the top of the screen, bit of accidental letterboxing, so that will need to be augmented tomorrow. Also the only way for the masking to change to 2:1 is for that masking/lens pack to fire. The quick controls don't work currently.

Downloaded and ingested the Q&A slide for Tyrone that Desmond sent over and attached it to the playlist after the feature.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report Friday 1/31 CLOSE Chris

Presentation Issues: -I believe Karen thoroughly covered this in an email but there were serious issues with the CP500 for the 6:20 Lil Women; no sound for the first three minutes and it dropped out again the very moment the 500 was taken off manual. The last foil cues continue to fail to fire. The platter worked fine, tho it is not a graceful competence, double-wrapping the film around the brain in the first fourth of the movie before the motor kicks in. -The Rhythm Section SPL had it's LTS DOWN cue set to fire at the beginning of the 10 count preshow portion, rather than the end when the trailers hit. Fixed that.
