NPP Projection Close 3/25

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Very minor delay to the start of the second round in theater 5 this evening (Novocaine @ 7:25PM) due to an overlap in show playlists -- started the round manually and skipped ahead

Plex connection was temporarily lost this evening and had to be rebooted via the desktop in 4/6 to get playback up and running again down in Trees

Special Events/ AV set up: Conquest screening went smoothly save for a brief moment during the (very short) third reel when a pair of false cues I did not see during inspection duped me into thinking the changeover was happening about a minute earlier than normal -- I switched back quickly and got the following one going again when the actual cues popped up

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): A poster for the 4K restoration of Killer of Sheep was delivered and stored behind 3/7

Print/video Inspection: Conquest is tails out on the workbench and can be re-inspected tomorrow

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report Friday 1/31 CLOSE Chris

Presentation Issues: -I believe Karen thoroughly covered this in an email but there were serious issues with the CP500 for the 6:20 Lil Women; no sound for the first three minutes and it dropped out again the very moment the 500 was taken off manual. The last foil cues continue to fail to fire. The platter worked fine, tho it is not a graceful competence, double-wrapping the film around the brain in the first fourth of the movie before the motor kicks in. -The Rhythm Section SPL had it's LTS DOWN cue set to fire at the beginning of the 10 count preshow portion, rather than the end when the trailers hit. Fixed that.
