NPP Projection Report 3/15 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Ordered us a new external hard drive since DCPIII has officially kicked the bucket.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Transferred the complete They Cloned Tyrone playlist from T2 to the LMS, along with the feature. Reminder to please ingest all content to the LMS (unless time simply doesn't permit) and build playlists on there, just simplifies things.

Scheduled Snow White and Alto Knights for Thursday.

Swapped most playlists on Thurs 3/20 for the 0321 versions, since just about every 0314 version has the Alto Knights or Snow White trailer.

Built REC and Conquest playlists.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ripped the Watership Down blu-ray and started converting it to DCP. This is going onto the Fugazi hard drive (not ours, though we've had it for over a year now). Since we are currently without a portable external which is NTFS formatted, you'll have to copy the finished DCP elsewhere to ingest to the LMS, I'd recommend the "smb" share folder.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Forgot to note in yesterday's blog that Pariah was picked up by DHL

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Put a new HDMI cable in T4, the old one wasn't working. Tested it quickly with the blu-ray player b/w rounds and then ran it along the wall to the rack. Will tackle T7's next week, the new long cable for it is here.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked over tomorrow, sheet & schedule. We're all set.

Made the Snow White cue sheet formula and put those shows on Thursday's cue sheet.

Added the intro and discussion timing to They Clone Tyrone on Thursday's sheet.

Filled in credits for Gremlins 2 and Uptown Girls

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report Friday 1/31 CLOSE Chris

Presentation Issues: -I believe Karen thoroughly covered this in an email but there were serious issues with the CP500 for the 6:20 Lil Women; no sound for the first three minutes and it dropped out again the very moment the 500 was taken off manual. The last foil cues continue to fail to fire. The platter worked fine, tho it is not a graceful competence, double-wrapping the film around the brain in the first fourth of the movie before the motor kicks in. -The Rhythm Section SPL had it's LTS DOWN cue set to fire at the beginning of the 10 count preshow portion, rather than the end when the trailers hit. Fixed that.
