Projection Admin 3/12



To do this evening/ was completed: Staff screenings have been emailed out, scheduled on the TMS and blocked on the calendar. Had our cinema meeting this morning and we've got everything we need for this upcoming week, sans the slide for They Cloned Tyrone, but other than that, content is all set. 

Got my eyes and ears on the shorts Wait to Tell My Mother, that we were having difficulties with. It looks good. We'll take a further look with everyone on Friday when we tech NoBudge. As for the other short, Wire and Cloth, I reached out to the filmmaker and we'll be receiving a prores from them tonight, which can DCP for Friday. 

There's a closed captioning device currently in use in T1. Seat 1718. 

Got in a little earlier than usual for the private event this morning, Superhuman Body screening and Q&A, which went very well. FYI - I've made a note about this in the Weekly Update, but please keep this DCP on the server as we'll be showing it again this upcoming week as well as the first week of April. We have the CRU drive in house, but it's just easier to keep it ingested (unless we desperately need storage in T1). 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Continued building out SE playlists for this week. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Setup the microphone in T4 (tested it), ran loops and a small reel of Pariah for the show tonight, just to double check focus. It really looks incredible. Should be a great show. Put a new battery in the T4 spots remote. All set.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Snow White this morning. 

Paper Moon came in via satellite this afternoon, but it's not available on the Deulxe server just yet. I'd check back in a little later this evening.

Maintenance/cleaning: T3 briefly went offline this morning. I reseated the board and that did the trick, but this, along with a few other maintenance bits, have been passed on to DMS.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report Friday 1/31 CLOSE Chris

Presentation Issues: -I believe Karen thoroughly covered this in an email but there were serious issues with the CP500 for the 6:20 Lil Women; no sound for the first three minutes and it dropped out again the very moment the 500 was taken off manual. The last foil cues continue to fail to fire. The platter worked fine, tho it is not a graceful competence, double-wrapping the film around the brain in the first fourth of the movie before the motor kicks in. -The Rhythm Section SPL had it's LTS DOWN cue set to fire at the beginning of the 10 count preshow portion, rather than the end when the trailers hit. Fixed that.
