Projection Admin 3/20 Lillian/Alec

To do this evening/ was completed: Adding in this request here, though it has been mentioned before and in the weekly updates; please remember to double check the playlist for the event you're running before the event starts. You are the last line of defense before the screening. Thank you! We will do our best to make sure everything 100 percent gets checked during admin, but all evening shifts with SE shows require this procedure. Everyone is responsible 💮 L

Couple of important changes to the playlists as we move into the Spring season - you will, of course, see this in the email for the 3/28 playlists, but we're swapping out the current welcome/feature and howtoorder/policy clips with the spring ones we've used before. You'll see them in the new playlists I've made, bu you should also immediately recognize them from past use! 

ALSO: This might be overkill, but the HappyHour_Steve_V1 sounds a lot (and I mean a lot) better at 4.0 than 3.5. It's just a lot lower than the others, so I ask that, moving forward, we add that cue in. - Lillian

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I wound up bringing Snow White up. Some moments are really rather quiet, so it's at 5.8 right now. Alto Knights I brought up as well. There aren't as many action scenes as I was expecting, so it's kind of minimal on the action-sounds front. Made an adjustment to the Anora playlist for 3/21 as it had the policy instead of the how-to-order in that spot in the preshow. Built some special event playlists: Finished Paper Moon and Zola for 3/21 and Westward the Women for 3/28. One more thing - please remember we pretty much always have Babies screenings every Tuesday! Built the playlist for this Tuesday, scheduled it on the LMS and updated the cue sheets. - Lillian 

Trailer Updates: Built all the new trailer packs and A1 playlists for the week of 3/28. Cleared some content off the preshows/trailers drive. - Lillian 

Special Events/ AV set up: I made adjustements to the 2:1 projector channel in T2 so it looks good for Tyrone tonight.

I brought a small mic mixer over from Williamsburg which they weren't using and set it up in T7 since we've been having a good amount of private events in there.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Looked at the newest REC DCP, the subtitles are correct and this will be fine for the screening. I am attempting to make another one which will look a bit better, but if it doesn't finish in time it's not the end of the world. The DCP we have is OK. The new version in encoding on HandBrake on the T1 iMac.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: I checked the lamp brightness in T2 as Tyrone was looking a little dim (Lillian had mentioned this with Novocaine, too). I enabled LiteLOC (which is supposed to maintain the target brightness set using a light meter) and did the auto LampLOC and this improved the image and made it a shade brighter.

More working under curtain in Theater 1. Pretty much just setting up as much as possible in a permanent fashion. Will update on the location of equipment after I'm done. 

Re-did the masking quick controls in T2, these are all working now.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes! Double checked today and tomorrow, cross referenced with the LMS. - Lillian 

Marquee updated?: Put up all new 35mm titles (Conquest, Damsels in Distress, Kings of Comedy) I did not put up Westward the Women yet as that will go on the brunch side soon! Also added Alto Knights, Snow White to the front of the marquee and took down I'm Still Here. I did not get a chance to change posters as it was really, really wet out there. - Lillian
