Projection Close 3/9



To do this evening/ was completed: Inspected the print of Uptown Girls tonight, which, to my surprise, comes with topped with a trailer for the space dog movie, Good Boy. Reel 5 also suffers from a few long patches of severe edge damage on the soundtrack side. I've seen some pretty gnarly prints make it through a projector, but I'll be running this on Monday to check that it can safely pass through and to check how damaged the sound track will be during those problem areas. 

Presentation Issues: The table lights in T4 went out. I waited until the third round was over and fiddled with the breakers, switch and dimmer to see if that would help and nothing happened, so we're assuming a faulty transformer (same thing happened in T1 last year). Juan told me that Vlad is going to try to get here Monday morning, after a trip to the Williamsburg location, but we're not entirely sure if he'll make it. Anyhow, we'll keep you all updated. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked the new A1 playlists for this upcoming week.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report Friday 1/31 CLOSE Chris

Presentation Issues: -I believe Karen thoroughly covered this in an email but there were serious issues with the CP500 for the 6:20 Lil Women; no sound for the first three minutes and it dropped out again the very moment the 500 was taken off manual. The last foil cues continue to fail to fire. The platter worked fine, tho it is not a graceful competence, double-wrapping the film around the brain in the first fourth of the movie before the motor kicks in. -The Rhythm Section SPL had it's LTS DOWN cue set to fire at the beginning of the 10 count preshow portion, rather than the end when the trailers hit. Fixed that.
