NPP Projection Report 5/15 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech for Cleopatra Jones for Shouting at the Screen is on the calendar tomorrow, remember to update the playlist. This has been filled in on the cue sheet for next Thursday, but has not yet been looked at on screen.

Downloaded and ingested MI8 and Lilo and Stitch preshows. I'm sure we will need to download more when trailer lists get sent out by Kat tomorrow.

Lilo playlist built and scheduled for next Thurs, and that's been filled in on the cue sheet.

Trailer Updates: Removed Bring Her Back trailer from all playlists which had it and replaced with 28 Years Later. We're not going to open Bring Her Back.

Special Events/ AV set up: There will be a musical element to the intro for The Howling tonight. Someone will be playing an acoustic guitar. They will be using mics as usual, all they will require in addition to the two mics is a mic stand.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Red Shoes drive arrived, feature ingested to LMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Looked at The Howling for this evening, playlist all set.

Friendship and Final Destination 6 checked for volume. Playlists adjusted.

Totoro feature checked. Adjusted volume and added the credit offset cue to the playlist.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): All SEs are filled in for the coming week. Just need to fill in MI8 when we receive that feature.

"Started" next week's cue sheets by merely making/naming the document and entering the formula for Lilo & Stitch. Nothing else filled in yet, obvi.

Marquee updated?: Accountant 2 down (though it's still playing for one more night), Friendship and Final Destination 6 up.

35mm titles updated.

Posters updated?: Tom Cruise has returned to the "coming soon" throne outside. Accountant 2 down. Friendship and FD6 have now showing tags. Bring Her Back replaced with The Materialists in the lobby.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection 6/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: PS107's event in theater 2 went smoothly and the mics were returned to the booth to charge following the show Set up for trivia at Trees Lounge this evening The Matrix Revolutions screening in theater 1 went well save for some alternating of volume levels throughout as the audio for the first few reels was very hushed compared to how loud the rest of it gets once the action starts in reels 4-7 (mics were returned to the booth to charge and both projectors were cleaned + exhausts shut) Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Received copies of  Best in Show and The Princess Bride for upcoming private events this week and began ripping  Best in Show through MakeMKV and HandBrake (update: the film is running through DCP-o-matic and should finish within 24 hours) Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection:  The...
