Projection Admin 5/8



To do this evening/ was completed: Our OS in 4/6 has been updated and the Signiant App (for media shuttle deliveries) should be working now. Things look a tiny bit different, really just a small visual shift with the graphics, but that's about it. We're hoping to partner with Signiant/Media Shuttle for future film festival needs (in short - they make the DCPs and we receive/download them).

Lots of teching tomorrow. I added a staff screening of News From Home in T4, where we will tech at 1pm. The show will end 13 minutes before we're to tech. 

Rebecca (MOD) has the 4k BluRay of Tremors and will make sure it gets back to the host. Mind you, we have another version in the booth but it is ours. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlists for Final Destination 6 and Friendship. 

I scheduled Bonjour Tristesse on the LMS, built out the formula on the cue sheets and filled in the times for the week of 5/9. 

FYI- not sure why I didn't receive Jack's blog, but I couldn't reply to it so I'll reply here: Killer of Sheep did not fail on purpose (the download, or something else, was causing our computer to lag heavily yesterday, so I stopped the download and rebooted the comp. Downloaded Killer in T1 today. This has been ingested to the LMS. 

Checked out Bonjour Tristesse this morning. It's happened to me before where it says the CPL is corrupt on the LMS schedule but plays fine in the screening room. This was, as Jack mentioned last night, playing just fine, but I did what we normally do when this happens and just reingested it. Valid on the LMS now. I double checked the playlist in house.

Special Events/ AV set up: Still waiting on John to fill out the event memo for The Menu

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received  the DVD of Mufasa for the private event on 5/13. Please run this through MakeMKV (and Handbrake if you need to). 

Tomorrow we should receive the DCP from the family hosting the private event on 5/14. I asked Chenelle if we could get a backup video file with it on the off chance something is wrong with their DCP. 

Cleopatra Jones has been ingested. 

Howling slide has been DCP'd and ingested. 

Keys for Hairspray open up tomorrow.

Print/video Inspection: Looked at Tremors, Greatest Band just to double check everything for tonight. Pretty sure Alec mentioned this before, but he made the intro video and put it in the playlist (there's no intro though! no need to be on call for this)

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report Friday 1/31 CLOSE Chris

Presentation Issues: -I believe Karen thoroughly covered this in an email but there were serious issues with the CP500 for the 6:20 Lil Women; no sound for the first three minutes and it dropped out again the very moment the 500 was taken off manual. The last foil cues continue to fail to fire. The platter worked fine, tho it is not a graceful competence, double-wrapping the film around the brain in the first fourth of the movie before the motor kicks in. -The Rhythm Section SPL had it's LTS DOWN cue set to fire at the beginning of the 10 count preshow portion, rather than the end when the trailers hit. Fixed that.
