NPP Projection Report 6/11 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: The Phoenician Scheme is moving into smaller theaters starting Friday. There is a show in Theater 7 on Friday, then it plays in 4 on Monday and 6 on Tuesday. We should set masking presets for it in these theaters (it plays in 5 over the weekend, but we can't even mask it in there so we can just run the playlist as-is). Note that I Am My Own Woman, a 1.33 feature, plays in Theater 4 on Tuesday. If you save over the 1.33 preset in 4 for Phoenician on Monday, remember to put it back before I Am My Own Woman on Tuesday.

Please take Final Destination and Karate Kid Legends letters and posters down. FD is already done and KK:L has its last show tomorrow night. Materialists and How to Train Your Dragon can go up tonight too.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Added dowser close/open cues to X/1999 playlist to obscure the "Ginga subs" credit.

Maintenance/cleaning: I checked the speakers in Theater 5 and replaced the subwoofers in two of them. One in a right side surround speaker and one in a left rear surround speaker. Tested them and they sound good.

This ate up a lot of the day, so I did not get to try out my plan in Theater 1 yet. I don't anticipate having any issues in this room for the time being, though. DMS has placed the replacement woofer order with JBL and will follow up with tracking.

I used the last two replacement surround speaker drivers we had on hand today, so I asked DMS about ordering more. Chances are we will need to replace a lot of these soon, I think it's just that time. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Timing for X/1999 was not filled in on the cue sheets. Please remember to check this after teching content.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection 6/17 Close
