Projection Admin 6/13



To do this evening/ was completed: Friendly reminder that Friendship and The Phoenician Scheme screen in T5 this weekend and we cannot masking anything smaller than 1.78 in that theatre (there's not enough curtain) so we're keeping them both at 1.85. I actually spoke to Matthew about this the other day just to check in as perhaps in the future we can make sure titles with smaller ratios can stick to the screening rooms that can accommodate, but it was a little down to the wire this time. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I wound up bringing the volume down to 5.0 for How to Train Your Dragon since, even with no one in the staff screening, it's very loud. Feel free to adjust to the crowds this weekend, but I think we'll be set there. 

Built the playlist for Freaks. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Tech'd the Goonies to double check volume, image and credits. Playlist is set. 
Double checked the Phoenician Scheme masking I set in T7 yesterday since it has a screening in there today. 

I am DCPing Dog Movie in T4/6. Should be done soon. Please ingest once it is finished! Thanks! As for the shorts, I have the prores of Sydney and Kim downloading in T1. 

We received the prores for the documentary screening hosted by PS107 on 6/17. The drive is in T1 and the audio is analyzing in DCPomatic. Please continue transcoding once it is done. Thanks!

Marquee updated?: We had a very last minute marquee rental today, which is on the brunch side. It's for an anniversary. I didn't expect it to be for the whole day, but they will actually be here this evening to see a film, so the letters can get put back after tonight. The "Brunch Shows Every Weekend" letters are organized in the booth and ready to get put back once the time comes. The letters for the brunch titles are not exactly organized since I used some for the anniversary letters, but the small pile is labeled.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection 6/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: PS107's event in theater 2 went smoothly and the mics were returned to the booth to charge following the show Set up for trivia at Trees Lounge this evening The Matrix Revolutions screening in theater 1 went well save for some alternating of volume levels throughout as the audio for the first few reels was very hushed compared to how loud the rest of it gets once the action starts in reels 4-7 (mics were returned to the booth to charge and both projectors were cleaned + exhausts shut) Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Received copies of  Best in Show and The Princess Bride for upcoming private events this week and began ripping  Best in Show through MakeMKV and HandBrake (update: the film is running through DCP-o-matic and should finish within 24 hours) Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection:  The...
