Projection Close 6/22



To do this evening/ was completed: An unruly adult patron (or child?) somehow got nacho cheese (?) or something in the realm of nacho cheese, on the screen in T4. Wyatt walkied me about it and I went down to safely wipe it off. It wasn't a huge splash, just small blotches here and there, which I gently removed with a microfiber towel, water and small bit of soap. That'll usually do the trick and is the type of thing you want to use (with very little force) when cleaning the screens when there's no professional here. In any case, this actually reminded me of a note I have to check in about cleaning the screens soon. I will say, the black fabric for bottom masking has also been victimized by the (maybe) nacho cheese. I did my best to remove it. 

Presentation Issues: Jared walkied me to say that the trailer for 28 Years Later was playing in the playlist for that very feature and, turns out, it was not. FYI - the poem (or something like that) that you hear in the trailer is also in the feature. I double checked the playlists and every other playlist just to be sure, but more so the confirmation happened in real time as I poked my head into the theatre and we were already 20 minutes into the feature when it 'happened.'

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection 6/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: PS107's event in theater 2 went smoothly and the mics were returned to the booth to charge following the show Set up for trivia at Trees Lounge this evening The Matrix Revolutions screening in theater 1 went well save for some alternating of volume levels throughout as the audio for the first few reels was very hushed compared to how loud the rest of it gets once the action starts in reels 4-7 (mics were returned to the booth to charge and both projectors were cleaned + exhausts shut) Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Received copies of  Best in Show and The Princess Bride for upcoming private events this week and began ripping  Best in Show through MakeMKV and HandBrake (update: the film is running through DCP-o-matic and should finish within 24 hours) Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection:  The...
