NPP Projection Report 7/12 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: I updated this in the manual, but please don't put blu-ray rips, or video files in general, through HandBrake unless we need to burn in subtitles. If the video needs to be resized, you can do that in DCP-o-matic and a better looking DCP will result, since the video has not been compressed by HandBrake. Instructions for resizing in DCP-o-matic are here.

I set up the booth 5 PC to be remote controlled with Splashtop to see if that will be more reliable than 3/7 and 6 have been lately.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I couldn't tell if the updated bumper for Death Becomes Her had ever been ingested, in the playlist was something called "Broadway Trailer" which was made in May. I converted the new bumper to DCP (again, maybe), ingested it, and added it to the playlist.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Desperately Seeking Susan went well. Print is packed up. Cleaned the projectors.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Started the Punchline DCP. in booth 1.

Hash errors when ingesting the Brooklyn Knight DCP. Not sure if this is why, but the ASSETMAP and VOLINDEX files are a different file type than I'm used to seeing, and I can't open the asset map to confirm the file names. I'm running it through DCP-o-matic in 4/6. Should be fine for ingest once it's done. It's converting directly to the share folder.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I printed return labels for Desperately Seeking Susan but holding off on scheduling a pickup. I'll do it tomorrow night for both this and Angel Terminators.
