NPP Projection Report 7/31 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Remember to update the posters and marquee for the two new titles tomorrow. We're also losing 28 Years Later.

Tomorrow, Bad Guys 2, The Naked Gun, and Batman Forever will need to be checked for volume levels. We got a video message from the director of BG2 via Deluxe telling us to play it at 7.0 but we can be the judge of that. I didn't mention this in yesterday's blog, but I looked at CatVideoFest so that is all set. As usual, it's a hot and fairly inconsistent mix. Also this year's edition is in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio, though the only portion I saw that fills this frame completely is the end credits.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Weapons and Suburban Horror preshow clips and some in-house trailers showed up on the Share folder, I ingested them.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: The school screening this morning went well.

Mic is good to go in T3 for Brooklyn Knight.

The boxing event in T2 tonight got pushed back slightly. There was a film schedule change made last week so the previous movie gets out later than expected (9:39). Doors/preshow is now at 9:45, previously 9:30, and the intro at 10:30, previously 10:15. Q&A will start and end 15 minutes later than previously planned. Checked through the playlist and it's all set. Adjusted it on the schedule, too. Cue sheet has also been updated to reflect the changes. Watch the volume for the docs, they may need a slight bump with the crowd.

Ran loops for BotBII, cleaned the projectors.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested GoldenEye to the LMS.

Converted DCPs for the Non-Films event on the 12th. I went ahead and moved the folder with these DCPs to the Share folder and converted the rest directly there, to save the step of copying them all over when we're done. All of their content, the Q&A slide, intro video, trailers, and 6 shorts has been converted and ingested.

Downloading the Realm of Satan DCP. It will finish this evening. I also converted and ingested the intro/Q&A slide for this.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Packed up To Live and Die in L.A. and scheduled a pickup for this evening. Shared the tracking and delivery estimate with Chris at Park Circus.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
